A Farewell to Parenthood

Hi, there will be a LOT of spoilers in this post about the final episode and season in general of Parenthood because I am trying to process my emotions and I can’t do that unless spoilers. You’ve been warned, read at your own risk.

With this being a very emotional week for television (hello did anyone watch Criminal Minds, was not expecting that one to be so emotional but this post isn’t about that), I knew Thursday night would be rough. Parenthood was ending. I’m basically a puddle of emotions because it was so happy, so sad, and so bittersweet.

Shows You Should Be Watching: Parks and Recreation

I’m not the first person to say how utterly fantastic Parks and Recreation is, and I will not be the last, but I still feel that it needs to be said. With the first two episodes of the final season premiering on Tuesday 1/13 I can’t help but feel sad that this great show is coming to an end even though I haven’t been watching it for a long time.

Shows You Should Be Watching: Penny Dreadful

Here’s a third edition of Colleen’s “Shows You Should Be Watching” series. Can you tell I’m the resident TV addict here at the Three Basic Bees?

Shows You Should Be Watching: Parenthood

In another addition of “Shows Colleen cries over a lot” I’m here to talk about NBC’s Parenthood.

Warning: This is not a spoiler free article

So a couple of years ago I walked into my loft (which is a small area of my house that my parents set aside for me and my sister to watch TV/hang out with people etc…) and my sister was watching some show on Netflix. When I asked her what she was watching and she said Parenthood. I was bored, so I decided to sit down and watch the rest of the episode with her. I think it was like the fourth episode, and I kind of liked it. So a couple weeks later when I was bored again I was scrolling through my Netflix queue and saw it in there I decided to watch the first few episodes. I liked the show, but at this point I didn’t have a laptop so it was a lot harder for me to motivate myself to marathon shows, so I had a casual relationship with the show.

The Five Fall TV Premieres I’m Looking Forward To

The only thing I love more than Fall TV shows actually premiering is watching all the trailers on YouTube. Ever since the beginning of high school, my friends and I have watched upcoming Fall TV show trailers together and deemed which ones would live and which ones would die of bad ratings. This year is no different. After looking up the official Fall TV schedule, I have picked the five shows I’m most excited for. Keep in mind that I am not including any mid-season premieres (Ex: Fresh Off the Boat or Astronaut Wives Club). Let’s hope that they live up to their 3-4 minute previews!
